IMCD N.V. has opened a coatings application laboratory in Istanbul, Turkey. According to the company, with a focus on paints, coatings, and inks, the facility allows IMCD to build on the technical service it delivers to its customers in Turkey.
The purpose of the new laboratory will be to offer formulation guidance, innovative solutions to overcome technical challenges, and product performance testing, IMCD stated. The new facility will also reportedly be used for IMCD experts to hold technical training sessions and customer seminars on the latest product trends and their applications.
“Since our first steps into the Turkish coatings and construction industry in 2006, we have continuously and successfully expanded our supply and product portfolio. With our new technical center here in Istanbul, we offer formulation concepts based on the individual requirements of our customers and suppliers, which is in line with our global business philosophy to provide local expertise,” said Frank Schneider, business group director Coatings & Construction.
“This lab allows IMCD to demonstrate how the right combination of our suppliers’ raw materials can support new developments as we provide solutions for our customers,” added Jörg Schmitz, technical director Coatings & Construction.
