Bodo Möller Chemie Named BASF Distributor in Northwest Africa

Bodo Möller Chemie says it is building on its longstanding collaboration with BASF SE in the segment of resins and performance additives for paints and coatings in Northwest Africa.

Bodo Möller Chemie will support the sales and distribution of resins and performance additives for paints, inks and coatings in Maghreb and the mainly francophone countries in Northwest Africa. The recently inaugurated office and warehouse in Casablanca, Morocco, will serve as a hub into the region.

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group says the new collaboration with BASF confirms its commitment as a distributor of specialty chemicals to invest in the African market and strengthens its global position in the coatings sector.

“The African continent offers an enormous potential, but also requires a high level of customization,” says Frank Haug, chairman of the Board of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. “Our application know-how and BASF’s technical support and product quality constitute an ideal foundation to sustainably develop the business in Africa.”

“We are very excited about our new cooperation with Bodo Möller in Northwest Africa,” adds Erkin Ataman, head of Sales, Dispersions and Resins, Turkey and Northwest Africa, at BASF. “The region contains a lot of growth potential in paints, inks and coatings. Together, we’re looking forward to better serving our customers with strengthened technical and logistic capabilities.”
